Johnson & Johnson Exec Owen Rankin Headlines This Weekend's Edition of SBR

Solid show lined up for you this weekend on Sports Business Radio. Owen Rankin, Johnson & Johnson VP of Corporate Equity and Olympic Sponsorship joins me from Beijing to discuss his company's multi-million dollar investment in the Beijing Olympics.

J & J is a Fortune 500 company with some iconic brands (Tylenol, Band-Aid, etc) and they have spent over $70M to be a TOP IOC sponsor for the Beijing Olympics. I'll talk to Rankin about his company's investment, what they're doing to activate their sponsorship and how they measure the return on this sizeable investment on this weekend's show.

We'll also look at the legacy of NFL PA Executive Director Gene Upshaw, who died suddenly of pancreatic cancer this week. What did he mean to the NFL after representing the players union since 1983 and who might be in line to succeed him? We'll discuss this weekend.

Enjoy your weekend and if you miss us, check out our podcast ON DEMAND.
