Obama's Historic Speech at Invesco Field

Invesco Field in Denver is home to the NFL's Denver Broncos. Last night it was home to Barack Obama as he accepted the Democratic Party's nomination for President of the United States. Over 80,000 people packed the stadium to watch the first African-American candidate for President outline his plan for the United States. Ironically, the speech came on the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream Speech".

When I am not hosting SBR, I media train individuals and assist them with their dealings with the media and their public speaking skills. I can honestly say that Obama's speech last night at Invesco Field was one of the greatest speeches I have ever heard. With a packed football stadium and millions more watching on TV, Obama hit it out of the park to use a baseball analogy. He was candid, he outlined his vision for the future and he told stories to bring his speech to life. He was captivating.
