Sports Illustrated Fortunate 50 List

For the 6th consecutive year, Sports Illustrated has released their "Fortunate 50" list of the top earning athletes.

View the list here.

To nobody's surprise, Tiger Woods tops the list once again.......despite missing most of last season with a knee injury. Its also worth noting that Tiger Woods more than doubled the endorsement fees of his nearest competitor. Tiger raked in $92M in endorsements alone.

Worst returns on investment on this list.........Houston Rockets player Tracy McGrady who made over $21M last season despite missing a good portion of the season and the playoffs (T-Mac has the highest salary in all of the NBA for the upcoming season). And then Stephon Marbury, who didn't play for most of the 2008-09 NBA season and still took home nearly $22M in salary.

But maybe the athlete who made out the best by doing the least.........Steve Francis. Who was paid nearly $20M by three different NBA teams.........and Francis didn't play a single minute this past NBA season.
